Turning Point (the modern day version of the truth): “Real peace comes from Christ alone.”
Tagline (the modern day version of the thrust): Desire Christ above all else.
Title (modern day version of the theme or topic): Real Peace
Thoughts (explanation, proof and application):
The Lord is coming soon. But some believers in Thessalonica are misunderstanding what it means. They are beginning to be lazy and uncooperative. As a result the whole Christian community is suffering. There is no peace among them. But the source of real peace is Christ alone. So in the end Paul prays that the Thessalonians will experience real peace in and through Christ’s presence among them. This is his prayer for them. In the same way, this should be our prayer, that Christ may dwell in us and among us so that we may have real peace among ourselves.
