Tagline (the modern day version of the thrust): Let’s cover each other in prayer!
Title (modern day version of the theme or topic): As the Battle Rages
Thoughts (explanation, proof and application):
As we near the end, and as we see signs of God’s coming kingdom, we must become vigilant in prayer. Satan is busy working in order to stop God’s people from doing their work. In 2 Thess 3:1-5 Paul exhorts the Thessalonians to pray for him. At the same time he is praying for them. This is because Satan is at work to hinder our work (chapter 2 of Thessalonians). Still, Paul is confident that God will win the day! Verses 3 and 4 shows Paul’s confidence in the Lord. As the battle rages, we must cover each other in prayer. Time is running out for our enemy, but our victory is assured. We must not stop praying for each other. Let’s begin now!
